About the Franklin County Special Education Cooperative

Our Mission

At the Franklin County Special Education Cooperative our mission is to provide high-quality education that empowers our students to become successful and responsible members of society.

We provide special education supports and services to students of our member districts who benefit from a more restrictive environment than their public school setting.  

These services and supports include but are not limited to:  

-Early Childhood Special Education services (in select districts)

-Public separate setting for K-12 students 

-

-Annual paraprofessional conference

Founded in 1975, FCSEC has a rich history of providing high-quality education to students from all backgrounds.  While our reach has expanded from 11 to 14 member districts, our commitment to our students has remained the same.  

Original members include: St. Clair, Sullivan, Union, Lonedell, New Haven, Franklin County R-II, Spring Bluff,

Our faculty members are dedicated professionals who are committed to helping their students succeed.  Therapists on staff include: 

Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Registered Behavior Technicians
